EyeMed Data Incident

Nov. 20, 2020

On September 28, 2020, EyeMed, a vendor of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) informed BCBSTX that an unauthorized individual gained access to the EyeMed enrollment mailbox. This situation impacts certain BCBSTX members who currently have or previously had EyeMed for their vision plan.
